Fix Docker Error: "failed to solve: no space left on device"

Docker stores all downloaded layers, stopped container logs, and build caches indefinitely until disk space runs out. When host disk or Docker virtual disk fills up, builds fail.

Quick Fix Checklist

  1. Clean all unused containers, networks, and images: docker system prune -a
  2. Purge old build cache: docker builder prune -a -f
  3. Remove orphaned database volumes: docker volume prune -f
  4. On Mac: Increase Virtual Disk Limit in Docker Desktop Settings > Resources > Advanced
